Asphalt, Vinegar +Yellow, and a full moon

Sunday afternoon doodle. I've developed a new method for doing line art, by laying down loose lines then finishing their placement by using the smudge tool. This helps me maintain solidity in my linework, and keeps the gesture of the character or object dynamic. Being the type of person who visualizes form over line, this method is working very well for me so far. I might color this tomorrow... who knows.

On an unrelated note, I'm almost done with the 5th Harry Potter book (that I'm reading via audiobook at work) and I now realize I should have read these books ages ago. So good!

Shadows of the Sun.

Enders State Park in West Granby, Connecticut. One of my favorite places in the (kinda) greater Hartford area.

Life is good.

I really want to drive to Bonnaroo this year. Any takers?

Work in progress.

Dragons.

How to Train Your Dragon was flawless in every way. A+ for Dreamworks. Now it's time for me to go to bed...

Plot in a pot.

Started this months ago, went back to finish it.

Dragged down by the stone.

Doodle for the day.

Spent yesterday going to both the Hartford Art School senior painting show, then the design show after. Both were very good, but the painting show especially surprised me. Artist Garret Gabby's (not sure if I spelled that right) large scale drawings and paintings stood out as my personal favorite.

Another week closer to moving outta Hartford, although there's a lot of great people around here I'm truly going to miss.

Our fortress has burned to the ground.

Downloaded Blender. Going to start teaching myself the program before the intro to Maya course begins in the fall. I can't wait.

Seriously.
