Farewell Fire

Sub-surface scattering test rendered in mental ray. Sub-surface scattering is what's responsible for the light penetrating the skin giving it that pink glow (obviously apparent on the ears). I still have to texture and do displacement maps, but I'm pleased with how this is coming so far. Except for the mesh on the ear... I will definitively be remodeling that sooner than later. The character will be finished in a couple weeks, as will the robot counterpart that I've posted a few times already.

The cliff image below is the final poster design for "Legacy", a thesis film at SCAD which will be completed sometime at the end of the year.

So much work, so little time...

Very nice work! And yes, there is never enough time!
I can't wait to see the finished product!
