Reverie on the other side of the world.
I've been wanting to travel the world for quite a while now. Thus far, most of my memorable endeavors (outside of Sicily, or course) consist of getting into my car and simply driving to new territory. I'd venture out far into the unknown rural towns of western Connecticut, with no destination in mind, other then the fact that I'd return home at the end of the day. On an international scale, I'd like to uphold the same style of improvisation. To simply go. To travel. Going to Sicily last year was one of the best experiences of my life, but even that was too structured for what I would like to do. Having the luxury of a hotel, a tour guide, set meals, and chaperones truly take away from that element of improvisation, that I hold so dearly. It was a great taste of lifestyle of travel, but it was not enough.
I am not ready to be locked into a career. I'm fully capable of beginning mine, but there's too much left for me to accomplish in life before I start.
The next year is going to be a very exciting time, and I'm grateful to have inspiration to do this.

Temporal displacement.
So the other day I became unstuck in time. While driving home way too late, I jumped back almost a year ago to the beach of San Vito Lo Capo.

I could feel the sand between my toes and the cold March water of the Mediterranean sea rushing up against my feet. Two horses galloped behind me, and the wind gently blew. I picked up my camera to take a camera for a quick photograph, and pressed the button...
Suddenly, I was back in my car in February 2010. It was 20 degrees out, and snowing. I went home and made some ramen noodles.
Burned.

A thought.
To pass the hours of a dull job quickly, and educate myself in the process, I've found downloading audiobooks to listen to on my iPod while I paint dumpsters for a fairly good hourly wage is the perfect win-win-win situation. Now if only I could incorporate making visual art into this mix and I'd be the most productive person alive... maybe there's a way.
Finishing my application process. Can't wait to move to Georgia.
