A Thanatopsis

Speedpaint before bed, took no more then 75 minutes. Been playing with a texturing technique where I'll copy the entire image onto a new layer, and set the opacity to 10-35%, then reshape the new layer to use it as a texture to increase visual noise. Speeds up the painting process, and you can get some neat effects with it...

It's nice to do an environment piece, after all the character studies I've been forcing myself to do.

The Final Sacrifice

Completely vacant today. Too hot to think clearly, and too much to think about. Did this in Photoshop, started last night, finished this afternoon.

I've never once cried during a movie... but I almost did during the final scene of Toy Story 3. The people of Pixar truly are gods amongst men. I can't wait to start school next fall!
